FORGOT YOUR DETAILS?

Paint Stripping

Paint stripping by Chemical Immersion Cleaning process can effectively remove old powder coated paint, regular paint, grease, oil, underseal, filler, anti-flutter, and adhesives from metal substrates.

It has become widely accepted as a safe and vastly improved method of preparing the surface before pretreatment and coating. Media blasting is regularly associated with irreversible damage to the surface and structure of parts and offers no solution to cleaning areas that cannot be reached with the blasting nozzle. One of the major drawbacks with any type of blasting is the problem of media and debris removal from the seams and box sections of the project leading to poor paint finish, moisture entrapment and ongoing issues with paint adhesion. Modern, more “gentle” blasting medias are generally considered to be unreliable for the removal of surface impurities.

Chemical stripper works fairly quickly -- anywhere from 10 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on the material and the paint's type and thickness. The process doesn't stop at the stripping; some strippers need to be neutralized, and the body will need cleaning and sanding to prep it for primer.
